Redwood Falls (Entry by Todd)
(May 25th, 2005) Day 25 sees us near North Redwood Falls at a wonderful DNR campsite that is canoe only access. It is filled with beautiful flowers and huge granite outcroppings. It was an easy day as we only traveled 13 miles but it was so nice pulling in to camp early to be able to do some long overdue chores, such as washing the canoe and going through the gear pack. It rained almost all day today while we were on the water but it did quit for lunch and as soon as we got to our camp. Our camp has a wonderful canoe landing that makes it easy to load and unload the canoe. It also has a “boom” box to use as a bathroom and picnic tables, we are sure getting spoiled.
Yesterday was pretty uneventful except that around midday we were splashed by a giant fish that got Scott soaked. We dunked our radio in the lake (it still works for now) and we went a day with out seeing anyone.
I am going to list in the upcoming journals what equipment we have with us. I will start by listing what I have in my personal pack:
