Clean Up the River Environment (CURE) (Entry by Todd)
(Feb 26th, 2005) A few weekends ago I (Todd) went to Clean Up the River Environment (CURE) annual meeting in Montevideo. It was a fantastic group of people who are dedicated to the clean up of the Minnesota River. I would guess there was close to 150-200 people there! The keynote speaker of the night was a member of the Minnesota Pollution Control Ageny (MPCA) who spoke about the history of the river, the ups and the downs and what can be done to continue the improvements on the Minnesota river. I was well recieved and I spoke about our expedition to the group. Everyone was excited for us and willing to help us out in any way they can as we paddle through the Montevideo, Willmar area.

The food for dinner was unvbelievable, free range beef and chicken, organic vegtables, and some great soup.

Thanks for a great night CURE and I look forward to seeing you all as we paddle through.
